Rio Verde

Enter this fascinating limestone canyon in the Sierra de Tejeda, Almijara and Alhama. It is a diverse canyon, with different sections of varying difficulty. The Río Verde is an excellent river for beginners in the world of canyoning - don't miss it!

Detailed itinerary:

We will meet at the restaurant El Capricho, in Otívar. After a good breakfast we will learn the main notions to approach the canyon with safety and fun: we will see how to progress, how to jump and how to abseil during the descent of the different canyons. All the jumps are optional and you set the pace yourself. The instructors, qualified professionals, will be with you and will accompany you at all times.

Our 4×4 vehicles will take us to the access to the Río Verde and from there we will begin a beautiful ascent of approximately 45 minutes, following the river bank. Once we reach the Caños Cruzados waterfall, in the middle of the river, we will equip ourselves and start descending and unloading lots of adrenaline!
