Departure: University Hostel of Sierra Nevada (08:30 h.)

Itinerary: We start our ascent to the second highest peak of the Sierra Nevada from the Albergue Universitario (2500m), once equipped with the necessary equipment: snowshoes, crampons, ice axes. We go up the San Juan Valley to the Posiciones del Veleta to enjoy an excellent panoramic view of the north faces of the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada. From the Posiciones we begin our attack on the summit: Veleta, 3396 m above sea level.
